Ensola - Process Chemicals for Use in Water Treatment

1. Foam control in digestion foams Digestion foams have different causes; the advent of filamentous microorganisms from biological wastewater treatment is widespread. Our defoamer products on carbonic acid are suitable for use in the environment. The dosage of about 5 ppm directly into the digester can prevent acute foam problems within minutes.

2. Scale reduction for inorganic precipitation in the sludge area of sewage treatment plants and drinking water treatment.
Our topsoil reducers are very biodegradable and can therefore be safely used in the environment.

The most important precipitates of digested sludge are:

1. Calcium carbonate (calcite and aragonite, CaCO3 ) Precipitation in digesters (solid sedimentation with sand), in sludge and sewage pipes and pumps (scaling)

2. Struvite (MgNH 4 PO 4, 6H 2 O)
Precipitation in plants with biological P elimination in the digester and in septic tanks . Can also be obtained from the anaerobic area of activated sludge plants by adding Mg.

3. Vivianite (Fe ₃ (PO ₄ ) ₂ .8H ₂ O)

Precipitation in the digester and sludge heat exchangers as phosphate & Fe ^{2+ is} released.

1. Membrane
   Cleaner Our cleaners are efficient for regeneration of membrane plants and are based on:
   1. Ensola 5021 Hypochlorite (alkaline cleaner) 
      Elimination of biological deposits
   2. Ensola 5022 hydrochloric acid (acidic cleaner) 
      Elimination of inorganic deposits such as lime

   The use of both products in combination achieves significantly longer runtimes of membrane systems than conventional products.

2. Nutrients and bacteria
   The nutrient solutions and bacteria support your water treatment plant to increase efficiency. We offer the following products:
   
   1. Use of bacteria in digester towers and biogas plants to reduce clogging and increase gas production
   2. Nutrient solutions to balance nutrient ratios: nitrogen, methanol and aerosol elements
