EnvibatModel WESP -Envibats Wet Electrostatic Precipitators for Air Pollution Control

SHARE

Envibat`s Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESPs) offer robust and efficient air pollution control solutions. Designed to handle various applications, WESPs employ a modular system that can be tailored to meet specific capacity requirements. The system integrates an advanced gas distribution mechanism ensuring uniform flow through vertical tubes. These tubes feature grounded collector electrodes, while emission electrodes, positioned centrally, utilize high voltage to create a corona discharge. This ionizes nearby gas, imparting a negative charge to aerosols and particles, which are then attracted to and collected by the electrodes. The design allows for periodic flushing to remove particulates. Enhanced by a patented emission electrode design, Envibat’s WESPs deliver high efficiency with minimal upkeep, suitable for diverse industrial settings.

There are many reasons to choose our WESPs:

  • Lower emissions - particle concentrations below 1 mg/Nm3 can be achieved
  • High efficiency in removing sub-micron particles
  • Removes both aerosols and solid particles
  • No fire risk
  • Very low maintenance
  • High voltages can be achieved

The gas flows into the WESP from either the top or the bottom. Our highly efficient gas distribution system ensures an equal distribution across all of the vertical tubes. The walls of the tubes are electrically grounded and act as collector electrodes. An emission electrode is positioned in the center of each tube, to which a high voltage is applied. The gas closest to the emission electrode is ionised by a corona discharge, in turn giving aerosols and particles a negative charge and driving these towards the collection electrode. Particles adhere to the collector electrode, until they are washed off when the system is flushed.

Envibats emission electrodes have a unique and patented design which make our WESPs extremely efficient, while maintaining minimum maintenance.

Wet electrostatic precipitators can be used in a variety of applications. See our refences for examples of how a WESP can be used.
