EnviroGrid - Model EGA20 -Cellular Confinement Systems - Geocell
EnviroGrid EGA20 can be used for all soil stabilization applications. The large number of cells per square meter allows for better resistance to specific area failure when used for specific load support situations. The added cell wall area is ideal in severe slope erosion control purposes by efficiently preventing the removal of soil particles and prohibiting the creation of rills and gullies. EnviroGrid EGA20 is also used in more specialized earth retention jobs.
Envirogrid EGA 20 standard sections are manufactured from 58 strips of HDPE, resulting in a section length of 29 cells and 10 cells wide. Each strip is the appropriate width and 142 inches (3.6m) in length. Weld spacing is 14.0 in ± .12 in (355 ± 3mm). Cell density is 35 cells per meter squared. Cell walls are textured and if perforations are required 16% ± 3% of the cell wall is removed.

Polyethylene strip shall be textured with a multitude of rhomboidal (diamond shape) indentations. The rhomboidal indentations shall have a surface density of 22 to 31 per cm2 (140 to 200 per in2).
