EmiflexExpansion Joints

SHARE

Emiflex expansion joints are designed and manufactured to provide highly flexible absorption of movement in different piping segments,
machines or devices in general. Movements requiring compensation can be caused by numerous factors including temperature, inertia, caving floors, misalignment. The potential fields of application are vast and cover the entire industrial spectrum.

Movement can be essentially classified in four types::

  • Axial
  • Lateral
  • Angular
  • Combined

The type of movement required, its magnitude and frequency, along with the characteristics of the carrier fluid (especially if corrosive) and operating conditions (pressure and temperature) are essential information in selecting the correct expansion joint to install.

The range of Emiflex expansion joints offer a lot of characteristics and ensure the following performance:

  • Outstanding movement capacity
  • Outstanding flexibility
  • Resistance to pressure and temperature
  • Resistance to corrosion
  • Extensive range of available diameter
  • Minimum load loss
  • Easy assembly
  • Maintenance free

INTERNAL INNER SLEEVE
An internal inner sleeve is a cylinder-shaped accessory sleeve within the joint whose purpose is to adjust contact between the bellows` inner plane and the carrier fluid. This accessory reduces load loss, turbulence and abrasion that the carrier fluid may cause on the inner wall of the bellows.
