Extract and Analyze Large Water Samples
We offer to extract and analyze large water samples for E. coli and coliform bacteria. Depending on the sampling conditions and pollution history, we will typically take 10-100 liters of water, whereby the detection limit for coliform bacteria will be 0.01-0.001 coliforme per. 100 ml. This allows for rapid traceability of very low bacterial concentrations throughout the pipeline and up to the source of pollution.

If you experience sporadic contamination of 1-2 coliforms, this is probably due to a constant low pollutant somewhere that is statistically found only in a low number of standard analyzes as only 100 ml is analyzed. By analyzing on a larger volume, the source of pollution can be found and removed before pollution develops.
