BORIN - Model STELTH 4 -Fat Cat Solid-State Portable Reference Electrode
The BORIN STELTH 4 Fat Cat is a solid-state portable reference electrode designed for both water and soil applications. Utilizing palladium-based technology, the STELTH 4 is hydrocarbon-proof, overcoming limitations previously faced by electrodes made from traditional materials such as copper, silver, and zinc. This makes it particularly effective in environments with high chloride levels where traditional electrodes struggle. With features like a wing nut for easy handling, a flat ceramic plug for stability, and a robust ABS case, it ensures reliable performance in varying conditions. Its specifications include a 2.25-inch width and 4.5-inch length, ±5 millivolts accuracy, and suitability for environments with pH 4-9 at temperatures ranging from 32°F to +176°F (0°C to 80°C) and -60°F to +185°F (-51°C to 85°C). Designed for portability, it offers a wide sensing area suitable for soil and concrete surfaces and guarantees performance with a minimum 10-year service life.
As with the slimmer STELTH 3 portable, the STELTH 4 Fat Cat is built with a wing nut instead of a wire, making it ideal for use above ground or with Miller Electrode Extensions.
The STELTH 4 Fat Cat also has a convenient flat ceramic plug shape so that you can stand it up on its end for easy readings.
