Remosa - Model UNE-EN 1825 -Fat Separators
The fat separator is an essential element in treating wastewater that may conta in considerable amounts of fats of animal or vegetable origin. Installation is a requirement in hotels, restaurants, campsites, etc, built according to the UNE-EN 1825 standard. Remosa has standard units of up to 5,000 litres ava ilable, but upon request can manufacture larger-capacity separators. The water is separated from the fat by the difference in densities, leading to the separation of the liquid over two phases: the top one with fats and the bottom one with water. The effluent is collected in the intermediate part to prevent the release of fats.
Calculating the number of meals per day, the following has been considered:
rf: coefficient of detergent and rinsing agent. rf=3 when detergent and rinsing agent is occasionally or always used.
tf: temperature factor. tf=1, when wastewater temperature at intake of fat separator is ≤ 60 ºC.
df: density factor. df=1, when water comes from kitchens, abattoirs and meat and fish processing plants.
The fat/oil density is lower than 0.94 gr/cm3.
