APT - FEP Heat Shrink Tubes for High UV Stability and Chemical Resistance
APT's FEP heat shrink tubes are crafted from high-purity fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and are renowned for their robust stretchability and extended lifespan, catering to demanding applications across various technical environments. As a member of the fluoropolymer family, FEP offers significant advantages including exceptional UV stability and minimal adhesive properties due to its smooth surface, enhancing its functionality in a wide temperature range. It is particularly resistant to both acids and bases, which extends its usage versatility. The tubes have a shrinking threshold of approximately +180°C, offering transparency and straightforward application. These heat shrink tubes are built to withstand continuous temperatures up to +205°C, align with safety standards for food and beverage applications, and exhibit increased efficiency in comparison to PTFE variants. The NSF certification affirms its compliance for contact with food, further establishing their implementation in the semiconductor and other high-purity industries. The Teflon™ Diamond quality seal corroborates the high manufacturing standards maintained by APT.
Our FEP heat shrink tubes are manufactured from pure high-molecular FEP tubes (Fluorinated ethylene propylene) to provide them with an extraordinary stretching behavior and a long life-time.
FEP is part of the fluoropolymers and offers properties such as a high UV stability, best possible anti-adhesive behavior on a particular smooth surface, a wide range of temperatures of use and a nearly universal stability against acids and bases. The shrinking temperature is about +180°C +/- 10°C. (356°F +/-15°F)
