Fernco - Penstocks

Penstocks, in their basic form, are permanent water gates that control the flow of water from one area to the next, which can be manually adjusted depending on the desired flow. Used on Waterways, Power Plants, Industrial Effluent Plants, Hydro Power, Sewerage/Wastewater Treatment Plants, Drainage and Flood Control.

Operational
The range is installer friendly by being considerably lighter than alternatives resulting in an easier installation process.

Environmental
Corrosion resistant and UV stable, Fernco Penstocks are manufactured from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), and 316 stainless steel; so they do not become brittle in direct sunlight. Only using pure materials, the product is fully recyclable giving a much lower carbon footprint.

Maintenance
The product requires little lubrication between the frame and the door resulting in a longer life product. The range has leakage rates that are less than both BS 7775 and DIN. 19569-4 class 5.

Penstocks, unlike valves, are normally fitted into or onto the civil structure formwork either in channels or over an aperture in a wall. Fernco have a wide range available in stock suitable for most applications, with the ability to make bespoke on quick lead times.
