FILTRAMAS - Rotary Strainer GF Filtrarotor
The FILTRAROTOR rotary sieve is high performance equipment, especially recommended for the separation of suspended solids in highly charged water. The capacity of the FILTEROTOR sieve is approximately THREE times greater than that of the FILTRAESTATIC sieve, at the same machine width. The FILTRAROTOR sieve consists of a filtering cylinder that rotates attached to a rectangular spillway. The drum rotates the retained solids as the water flows freely through the drum. The solids are evacuated from the machine by means of cleaning scrapers. The FILTRAROTOR has an internal tube with flat jet nozzles for pressure washing of the filter drum as standard. This equipment is widely used in multiple applications (wastewater pre-treatment , screening of sludge, sieving of process water from canning industry, pulping in wine and sugar industry, slaughterhouse waste, fish canneries, separation of solid manure, industrial processes, etc.).
The fluid to be treated is introduced into the equipment through the flange located at the front of the container and is evenly distributed along the filter drum. While the waste water passes through the filter screen, the solid particles, larger than the mesh passage light, are retained on the surface of the screen while it rotates and moves them towards the cleaning area, which is carried out by means of a cleaning scraper.
This scraper separates them and discharges them onto the slide, designed for this purpose, so that they fall into a container or onto a screw or conveyor belt. The sieved water is collected in a chamber designed for this purpose and leaves the equipment through a flange at the bottom of the container. In addition, a relief flange or bypass can be installed.
A FILTRAROTOR essentially consists of the following elements:
-
Filter drum, made entirely of stainless steel AISI 304 or AISI 316 by means of a spiral winding of a wedge shape on longitudinal ribs. This set of high rigidity and resistance retains on its outer surface the solids of a larger size than the light used and prevents the formation of accumulations in the interior.
-
Container made of stainless steel AISI 304 or AISI 316 to which the filtering drum is fixed. At the rear there is a receiver tank for the liquid to be sieved which distributes it in laminar flow. Between the drum and the filter body, the FILTRAROTOR is equipped with seals that ensure tightness in the filtering operation. The water inlet and outlet to the container is made by means of flanges in their standard configuration.
-
Cleaning scraper to remove solid particles deposited on the surface of the filter screen. It is made up of a copper sheet, fixed on an articulated shaft at the ends, which adjusts to the surface of the drum with a constant and uniform pressure, ensuring a perfect cleaning of the drum surface.
-
Washing system, located inside the filtering drum and equipped with nozzles that spray water under pressure on the inner face of the filtering mesh.
-
Operation. It consists of a geared motor, directly coupled on the filtering cylinder shaft, which provides the rotation movement of the assembly.
-
Discharge wagon. The residue removed by the cleaning scraper is discharged onto a screw or conveyor belt or directly into a container.
