The ANSUL® R-102 fire protection system is designed to intervene precisely and effectively in the most critical areas of the commercial kitchen. Its detection and targeted extinguishing capabilities ensure maximum protection of:

  • Extractor hoods: where grease and hot vapours accumulate, increasing the risk of fire.
  • Ventilation ducts: often hidden but extremely vulnerable routes in the event of flames spreading.

Heat Detection

The system detects excessive temperature rise using special heat-sensitive fuses. When the heat exceeds a critical threshold, the fuses melt, activating the release mechanism.

Automatic (or manual) activation

The detection can trigger the system automatically, or it can be activated manually via an easily accessible and clearly visible emergency remote control.

Release of extinguishing agent

The AUTOMAN mechanism releases the liquid chemical agent contained in the tanks, kept under pressure by a cartridge. The agent is delivered through the distribution network.

Targeted discharge via nozzles

The agent is directed precisely to the critical points of the kitchen – such as hoods, filters, ducts and cooking equipment – thanks to a network of certified and calibrated nozzles.

Suffocation of flames and prevention

The agent creates a foam that extinguishes flames and prevents reignition by blocking oxygen on grease-soaked surfaces.

Automatic gas and electricity cut-off

The system can be connected to mechanical or electric shut-off valves, automatically shutting off gas lines and electrical appliances to maximize safety.
