Water Based Coating on Extruded Rubber Seals:

Extruded rubber seals are used in the automotive markets for door, window, trunk and latch seals; which serve to reduce noise and ice built up.  The water based coating is applied to the seals for long lasting protection.

Typical production is a continuous process with line speeds from 30 to 80 FPM.

This Fostoria oven employs short wave T-3 quartz lamps for fast response and higher energy intensity, to rapidly cure the coating. The cycle time production can be reduced from minutes to < 30 seconds. Note that this oven was designed to open for ease of maintenance and inspection.
