FSM - Sludge Screen

Material retained by the sieve is transferred into the compaction and dewatering sector by a conveyor screw.  In order to support the cleaning of the sieve, a brush can be installed. No rinsing water or reverse flushing is required for cleaning the sieve. At the end of the compaction and dewatering sector, a cone-shaped zone reduces the exit cross-section. The cone generates a counter pressure in order to achieve the compaction and dewatering of the material. The cone can be axially displaced, and is pneumatically operated.  The counter-pressure or the cross-section by means of  which the material reaches the discharge area is variable. The perforations in the sieve and the design of the Discharge sector can be adapted individually according to the needs and requirements of our clients.
