FSX TrapBurner - Model 8 -Thermal DPF Regenerator
The TrapBurner™ 8 is a kiln that uses thermal cleaning technology to burn off any remaining soot that could not be removed by pneumatic cleaning. Using ambient air the FSX Trapurner™ 8 is able to safely deliver heat to avoid any kind of thermal damage. Two in every ten filters need Stage 2 thermal regeneration. Embedded programs allow for easy start-up. The FSX TrapBurner™ 8 will create a fresh-out-of-the-box clean look for diesel filters.
Automated Process
The FSX TrapBurner™ 8 comes with preprogrammed processes and offers customizable heating as well. To start the kiln a four-digit safety code is required before hitting the start button. Digital temperature, process, and time display allow the operator to keep an eye on the process while working on other tasks.
Heating
The FSX TrapBurner™ 8 uses a step-by-step temperature gradient that matches OEM specifications. The FSX thermal process uses ambient air to carefully heat filters to the desired temperature to avoid any thermal stress or damage. Heat burns off soot trapped deep within the filter’s pores.
Throughput
The FSX TrapBurner™ 8 is able to process up to 3 heavy-duty DPFs at a time. Thermal cleaning takes about 12 hours including cooldown time. The FSX Filter Rack protects the interior while also increasing kiln capacity.
