G- Stow - Mobile CCTV Survey Units
Mobile CCTV survey units can carry out a visual inspection of boreholes and wells from 65mm diameter and up to 300m depth with national coverage. We are able to provide a one-stop service for pump removal, CCTV survey and subsequent pump reinstallation thereby minimising borehole downtime and maximising efficiency of service.
Inspection of newly constructed boreholes
To illustrate the quality of work, verify construction records and to offer customer assurance
Periodic inspection
To determine the existing borehole/well condition and thereby propose refurbishment, remedial or preventative maintenance programmes
After service inspection
Verify cleaning works and repairs and to track and monitor well conditions and compliance
Pre purchase inspection
Establish the condition of a borehole or well at transfer of ownership
Ground water monitoring
Determine quality, geological strata, fissures and water producing zones
Recover lost equipment
Locate and facilitate the retrieval of lost equipment down the borehole
Sealing and abandonment of boreholes and wells
In order to abandon a borehole it is vital to understand the construction details. Often these are not available, in which case a CCTV survey can provide sufficient details to enable our engineers to provide site specific proposals to meet Environment Agency requirements
Location and identification of obstructions
Before you can attempt to clear an obstruction you need to understand what it is and how it got there.
Sand pumping
In certain circumstances the CCTV camera can be deployed into the borehole under pumping conditions to locate sand inflow and assist in any remedial works
Dual camera system
Dual wide angle cameras, one side view and one down view, with remote switching and continuous 360° rotation
High intensity lighting
50 super bright, water-clear LED`s allow high resolution images
Powered reel
300m of Kevlar reinforced coaxial cable
Depth counter
Accurate digital on-screen depth counter in meters
Portable power supply
When power is unavailable on sites a 12v DC battery with charger and voltmeter is used.
Images
Recorded on a digital recorder on site and also available in real time through a 180mm LCD colour monitor. Still images can also be taken to show particular features of the borehole for record purposes
Transportation
Extremely compact and portable equipment allows surveys to be undertaken in the most inaccessible areas, where vehicular access is not possible. The equipment is moved into position on a small compact two-wheeled trolley containing the powered reel and display equipment.
Set up
Camera equipment can be deployed and set up in minutes.
Report
A detailed bound report prepared by one of our hightly experienced staff, containing still images of key features and borehole construction is provided along with a DVD for archive purposes.
Health and Safety
Our site staff all hold National Water Hygiene cards, confined space entry accreditation and CSCS skills cards enabling them to access any site.
