GTS - Gas Mixing System for Geothermal Gas
GtS provides gas mixing systems to add natural gas to geothermal gas to achieve a minimum caloric value. Also for other gasses GtS can design and build gas mixing stations, for example for adding air to biogas in order to make Active Carbon work properly or if the natural gas quality fluctuates a lot. In order to use geothermal gas, it has to be cleaned first. GtS can provide an installation that contains a gas cooler, gas dryer with economizer (GTP), optional H2S removal and SDE+ measurement.
The GtS gas mixing systems can be built according to different design specifications. The natural gas that is to be mixed is specified in percents by volume relative to 100% geothermal gas. In other words, 100% natural gas mixing means a 50/50 vol% mixing ratio of the mixed gas.
The maximum of natural gas to be mixed depends on the following criteria:
- Quality of the natural gas
- Quality of the geothermal gas
- Offer of geothermal gas
- Demand of mixed gas
Assuming that geothermal gas is sufficiently available, a maximum of 72% of natural gas will be needed to meet the requested quality. Depending on the demand of mixed gas and the supply of biogas, the total of natural gas to be mixed will be greater to meet the demand of mixed gas.
Requirements engaging the gas quality
For the design of our mixing stations the requirements are set by the users: CHP, gas engines, boilers or micro turbines.
