Genefloc - Model PWF -Flocculant Use in Surface
Genefloc PWF is used to improve the performance of filtration equipment. It has been developed as a generalpurpose (low molecular weight) flocculant for use in surface, well and process waters of medium to high SDI. Genefloc PWF conforms to European Standard EN 1408: 1998 “Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption – polyDADMAC”. Other flocculants from the Genefloc product range are available as required.

- Genefloc PWF can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions. Genefloc PWF should be dosed continuously to the feed water, (at a turbulent location to ensure good mixing) allowing at least five minutes contact time before filtration.
- Genefloc PWF can often reduce and sometimes eliminate the need for the prior addition of inorganic coagulants such as aluminium sulphate, ferric sulphate, etc.
- Typical dose rate of Genefloc PWF is 2 - 5 mg/L.
Genefloc PWF is an aqueous solution of a cationic homopolymer. It is mildly corrosive to carbon steel so recommended materials for storage tanks etc. include stainless steel, fibre glass, polyethylene and polypropylene. Observe all safety precautions shown in the material safety data sheet, available on request.
- Available in 25 Kg kegs and 200 Kg drums.
- The shelf life is two years under normal storage conditions.
