Genesol - Model 50 -Alkaline Chelant Cleaner
Genesol 50 is based on a chelating agent and has been developed as a general-purpose membrane alkaline cleaner for use with Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration membranes. Genesol 50 will remove organic and inorganic based deposits. It is effective against iron fouling and many forms of calcium scale and is an excellent adjunct when used in combination with other Genesol membrane cleaners.

Genesol 50 is highly effective when used as a 2-3% solution at the highest pH recommended by the membrane manufacturer and should be alternately soaked and recycled through the membrane system for at least 3-4 hours. Working with enhanced temperature will also improve the cleaning performance. After cleaning, the membrane system should be thoroughly flushed out, until the pH values of the feed and the discharge are the same.
Genesol 50 can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions.
Genesol 50 is a formulation containing ethylene diamine tetracetic acid. It is compatible with carbon steel and commonly used materials of construction.
