Lotek ARCGEOModel ARCGEO-8C -Geolocator-TDRs for Birds

SHARE

Following on from the success of the LAT2000 Series, we now introduce the Arc2 range, able to record the same data, but with an impressive 16 MB of memory in only 2.4 g. More detail can be recorded on the diving behaviour, or data can be collected over a much longer period of time. Arc2 tags are easily mounted onto a ring on the leg of a waterbird, for minimal impact, and to record when birds are on the water as well as when they are diving for food.

Geolocation & Depth:

One tag for geolocation, depth and temperature recording

Sophisticated Analysis:

Template Fit or Threshold geolocation and dive visualisation

Easy leg attachment:

Use the attachment loops to thread cable-tie through and around bird ring.

Sensors: Light for geolocation, Depth for diving, Temperature, Wet/dry to record when on the water.

Sensors: Light for geolocation, Depth for diving, Temperature, Wet/dry to record when on the water.

Sensors:

Recording light and temperature data for geolocation, plus pressure and wet/dry for diving behaviour.

Up to 8 Sequential Logs:
To record the data most appropriate for the time of year, breeding cycle.

Geolocation and depth visualisation:
LAT Viewer Studio software (without maps) is provided with the ARC TagTalk, so that sophisticated Template Fit or Threshold geolocation analysis can be run or dive profile, light and temperature data can be visually explored. Geolocation tracks can be exported to GoogleEarth or as spreadsheets.

Tag Storage:
ARC tags can be stored for the next season, with much of the capacity saved, provided the tag is in a “Stopped” status. This is a great improvement on other tags that drastically deplete their capacity even if not deployed.

Data Safety:
Memory contents retained for 25 years ensuring data retention even if the tag is recovered years after the battery is exhausted.
