Gold APP - Model G-DenPyc 3900 -Helium Pycnometer Analyzer
The MIP-3600 Mercury Intrusion Porosimeter is engineered to evaluate the porosity and pore size distribution of mesopore and macropore structures in solid materials. Utilizing mercury`s non-wetting property under precise external pressures, the device gauges pore sizes from 30 nm to 600 µm, offering insights into the material`s pore volume distribution. This instrument is adaptable with various configurations, providing single or dual analysis ports and variable operating pressure ranges. Designed to adhere to ISO 15901-1:2005 and GB/T 21650.1-2008 standards, it incorporates advanced gravity difference principles, enhancing the experimental process by ensuring high accuracy and reliability. Equipped with a robust vacuum system and a VMSC system, the MIP-3600 maintains a stringent mercury vapor protection protocol, safeguarding user health and ensuring precision.
A gas pycnometer operates by detecting the pressure change resulting from displacement of gas by a solid object Expanding a quantity of gas at known pressure into an empty chamber and measuring the pressure establishes a baseline. Then a sample is placed in the chamber and the chamber is resealed. The same quantity of gas at the same pressure is again expanded into the sample chamber and the pressure is measured. The difference in the two pressure combined with the known volume of the empty sample chamber allows the volume of the sample to be determined by way of the gas law.
The accuracy and precision of the gas pycnometer in determining density is good, but the method relies greatly on the cleanliness of the sample material and purity of the analysis gas. In this case, Gold APP Instruments had explored a smart sample preparation degasser for materials handle, can guarantee to gain the "cleanliness* testing data.
- Analysis Principle: Volume displacement method/gas expansion principle
- Testing Data: true density (also terms as real density, absolute density, skeletal density) analysis
- Analysis Pressure: external vacuum pump is option, can adopt negative (0-1Bar) or positive pressure (1-2Bar) two modes to analysis
- Data Accuracy: accuracy ±0.02%, repeatability ±0.01%, resolution 0.0001 g/cc
- Sample Station: three analysis stations
