The grate consists of movable and individually driven steps as well as fixed steps. The individual grate drive system is equipped with hydraulic cylinders and each can be individually driven in order to optimise the stroke length, velocity and number of strokes per hour. The lexibility of the individual driven grate steps allows the best possible positioning of the combustion zone within the combustion chamber.
