V&T - Model ACF -High-Flow Coarse Filter for Pump and Process Equipment Protection
V&T developed a special filter for protection of pumps, pipe systems and process equipment against big particles. The filter has a special construction and combines flow patterns and turbulence for cleaning of a wedge wire filter element. The filtration direction is from inside to outside. The cleaning is by the liquid itself and can be made manually or automatic. The cleaning cycle only takes 5 seconds. When the solids are heavy or sticky, the separating mechanism can be assisted by a scraper mechanism.
Next to the back-wash ACF filter , V&T Group did develop a new series with a mechanical cleaning system. A pneumatic cylinder moves a mechanical scraper over a wedge wire filter element in an axial direction. The difficult backwashable dirt as there are : fibres , flakes of granules or organic waste, will be shoved to the outlet and drained away through the flushvalve.
As flushvalve our recommendation goes to a pinch-valve or a membrane valve. As alternative a ballvalve can be chosen with full bore (opening). The flushing is regulated by a programmable timer and if necessary parallel linked with a dP control. The cylinder can make several strokes in one chosen flushcycle. A flushcycle of 5 seconds is enough to clean the complete filterelement. The filter is constructed in SS316L and can be cleaned with light acids against incrustation of calc, salts or organic material.

- 80° C for types M002-M010, higher on request
- 60° C for types M012-M016, higher on request

- 0,5 - 4 mm for types M002-M006
- 2 - 5 mm for types M008-M012

Type M012 and M016 are standard made with a support (150 mm extra height). For the types M002-M010 a support is optional
