V&T developed a special filter for protection of pumps, pipe systems and process equipment against big particles. The filter has a special construction and combines flow patterns and turbulence for cleaning of a wedge wire filter element. The filtration direction is from inside to outside. The cleaning is by the liquid itself and can be made manually or automatic. The cleaning cycle only takes 5 seconds. When the solids are heavy or sticky, the separating mechanism can be assisted by a scraper mechanism.

The “TRIPLO” filter is a different design based on existing filter systems like cartridge- and bag filters. The name “TRIPLO” already explains it`s purpose. The “TRIPLO” filter is one filter with three options: cartridge filter, bag filter and basket filter. Three possible filters in one and the same filter housing. It is often very difficult to know in advance which of the above filters one needs for a certain job. The “TRIPLO” filter makes it possible to adjust your choice later to a changed situation. By simply changing the internals one can produce different filter.

Through the inlet dirty water flows into the filter housing. Normal pollution rates are 1-10 mg/l or 1-5NTU. The filter elements on the rolls (MT-IBA-1 : 1 roll, MT-IBA-2 : 2 rolls, MT-IBA-4 : 4 rolls, MT-IBA-8 : 8 rolls) filter down to 0,5 micron depending on the flux rate. For waste water treatment at a flux of 200l/m2/h this results in a filtration level of 0,5 micron and for drinking water (at 3000-6000l/m2/h)  to 3-5 micron.

Water is filtered through the fine screen (1) to outlet (2). As dirt accumulates on inner face of fine screen, pressure differential builds up. At a preset level, the rinse controller (3) opens flushing valve (4), creating a strong backflush stream to atmosphere. This backflush creates a suction effect at nozzles (5), cleaning the face of the fine screen directly in front of nozzle openings. Backflush water now flows through collector pipe (6), via hydraulic rotor (7) to flushing valve, causing the dirt collector assembly (8) to spin. Pressure drop in rotor chamber (9) forces the collector assembly upward.

Static parabolic screens find their origine in the mining industry for the separation of dry particles.At present most applications are in solid-liquid separation of granulates, fibers, organic material etc. The separating principle is based on peeling mechanism. The wedge wire screen built from profiled metalwire stands at a 90° angle to the direction of the liquid and the flat side of the wire under an angle of about 60°.

The filter systems and HVAC air treatment cabinets from V&T Group BV are Always custom made in close contact with the customer. This sounds expensive, but is in fact more affordable, because the customer decides what the system should look like and which accessories have to be added. In this way you could choose for a simple filter cabinet with a manually controlled ventilator or a complete HVAC air treatment cabinet with heat return system (energy saving), automated controls and high grade filters. Of course we will provide you with our technical advise, but the customer decides.
