EFLO - Model MBR -High Rate Biological Wastewater Treatment
EFLOMBR (Membrane Bioreactor) is designed with special submerged flat sheet membranes, with membrane pore size 0.2µm. The membranes are made of Polyethersulfone for enhanced performance in the presence of grease. EFLOMBR achieves the Suspended Solids (SS) Removal of up to 99.7%. Typical applications for EFLOMBR include but not limited to municipal and domestic sewage treatment, mobile or temporary sewage treatment, industrial wastewater biological treatment, and grey water treatment. The system can be installed above or below the ground, or it can be mobile if it’s a skid mounted for temporary/emergency use.
In the MBR plant, membranes in the micro/ultra filtration range are used to separate the biomass from the treated water. This allows the biomass concentration in the aeration tank to be raised significantly, reaching 18,000 mg/l while retaining an F/M ratio of 0.1 - 0.15. Therefore, the biological treatment volume can therefore be reduced five or six fold. This significant reduction in volume plus the elimination of the settlement tanks makes the MBR very compact.
EFLO International can provide the required ancillary equipment for up stream and down stream of the EFLOMBR. Upstream equipment would include, grit removal, inlet sewage pumping, flow control and inlet 3 mm rotating drum screen ( EFLOScreen). Down stream equipment would be, disinfection systems ( UV or chlorine dosing), irrigation/water storage and pumped distribution and further treatment to allow water re-use.
