The RJ-Turbo is a high-speed, centrifugal washer that utilises a combination of friction, centrifugal force and, when required, thermal and chemical energy to remove contaminants from the surface of the re-grind.
As the contaminated plastic enters the wash chamber, it is introduced to the 3000rpm spinning rotor. This rotor is fitted with 32 independent paddles, each coated with chromium carbide to reduce wear time. These paddles can be individually calibrated in order to provide the perfect balance between throughput and washing standard.
The energy imparted on the product stream by this plastic washer is significant, forcing the contaminants to break free of the surface of the plastic and is carried by the water, through the screen, and out into the effluent for filtration and reuse. If required additional energy can be provided in the form of heated water and/or chemicals within the wash liquor.
