Plastic Recycling Plants

Rotajet - Waste Plastic Recycling

With an estimated 2 million tonnes of WEEE items discarded by householders and companies in the UK alone, WEEE waste plastic recycling, if done correctly, can represent an exciting investment for waste management companies. With the introduction of the WEEE directive the responsibility for putting schemes in place for the retrieval of WEEE wast plastic products from the consumer has been put on the distributor. This is not only making a change ecologically but also offers new economic opportunities for recyclers.

Plastic Shredders

Zerma - Plastic lumps and Purging's

Zerma ZBS Shredders are a fast way of allowing the reintroduction of polymers lost in lumps and purging’s back into your extrusion process. One of the most common uses of plastic shredding is processing the waste products of plastic extrusion know as plastic ‘lumps’. Disposing of unused purge lumps is very expensive and recycling them instead hold huge economic potential.

Zerma - The sturdy all Rounders

ZSS Shredders: General purpose shredder. Has the option to be equipped with the taller, heavier, ZPS-style hydraulic ram to suit the shredder to heavy applications such as pipes and heavy purgings. ZPS Shredders: Larger ram than the ZSS model, this shredder is best suited for heavy applications such as the size reduction of pipes. ZIS Shredders: Ideal to size reduce large, hollow products (e.g. drums, IBCS, and barrels), This shredder features an internal ram to increase the capacity of the cutting chamber, without increasing the machine’s footprint. With dual speed hydraulic feeders to ensure high efficiency, The ZSS, ZPS and ZIS series of shredders has been designed to suit a range of applications: General in-house recycling- electronic waste Organic materials- paper, wood, woven bags Forms of plastic- IBC’s, pipes, bales

Zerma - Horizontal Shredder

This ZHS series of single shaft shredders are used within the industry to economically recycle plastics, wood, paper, and general waste streams. They have been engineered for strength and reliability in every day operations. They feature an angled hydraulic ram suitable for feeding a wide range of material shapes, sizes, and weights without the risk of jams, blocking or excessive wear on guide rails. Easily customisable to suit a range of applications, these shredders can be supplied with different drive powers, knife configurations as well as discharge options.

Zerma - For heavy duty applications

These shredders in the ZXS series are built for the most demanding and high throughput applications in recycling; from the size reduction of large petrochemical lumps to MSW waste streams. All shredders in the ZXS series feature large 750mm diameter rotors with widths ranging from 1500-300mm, which are driven by two oversized industrial gearboxes. The low speed of 45rpm guarantees a high torque and smooth operation, for the easy shredding of a variety of infeed materials. To ensure easy maintenance and flexibility, each machine comes equipped with a unique bolted knife and knife holder. Machine benefits include: -Large (750mm) diameter rotor -Low speed, high torque twin gear drive -Powerful two speed hydraulic swing type pusher -Heavy-duty welded design -High throughput rates -Designed for very large, heavy parts

Zerma - Pipe & Profile Size Reduction

Zerma ZRS Sredders of pipe and profile shredders are the world’s first single shaft shredders able to handle large diameter pipes up to 1200 mm without the need for pre-cutting. Specifically suited to the precise shredding of long lengths of large diameter plastic pipes or bundles of smaller pipes and profiles, the unique design of the machine allows easy feeding and safe processing of materials. Machine benefits include: -Large diameter rotor (up to 1500mm) -Safe feeding of long (6m) pipes -Ability to process mixed diameter pipes with a wide range of thicknesses -Integrates with ZERMA granulator and pulverizer to create a turn-key pipe recycling solution -No pre cutting of pipes of up to 1200 mm diameter necessary -Virtually risk free, automated operation -Elimination of amperage peaks -High throughput rates -Feeding of bundles or nested pipes and profiles

Plastic Granulators

Zerma - Slow Speed Granulators

Slow speed granulators in the GSL series are ideal beside the press machines for use in injection and blow moulding to grind runners, sprues and rejected products. Each granulator in the GSL series briefly comprises; a sturdy rotor system, specially-designed knives, and a quick-snap-system for easy front plate removal. These purpose-built machine features not only make cleaning and maintenance work quick and easy, but also significantly reduce the risks of machine downtime. With two available models, the GSL 180 and GSL 300, these granulators can be used as either central or beside-the-press granulators, for use with a wide range of materials.

Zerma - Soundproofed Granulators

Soundproofed granulators in the GSC series offer a compact and soundproof solution to the size reduction of various materials, in a universal range of applications. Situated within a completely sound-proofed enclosure, the GSC series of granulators provide an extremely quiet operation, whilst still offering easy access for cleaning and servicing. Key machine benefits: -Knives are adjusted outside of the machine -Sturdy, compact design -Different rotor types available -Soundproofed housing -Strong tangential infeed -Integrated controls

Zerma - Compact Plastic Granulator

The GSE Series of compact, economical granulators offers a non-soundproofed alternative to the GSC range. Primarily used as smaller, central granulators, this series is ideal for use in injection and blow moulding factory applications. Whilst benign suitable for all thin-walled plastic wastes, granulators in the GSE series can also be used downstream of a single-shaft shredder. With solutions to suit a range of operational needs, the GSE range comprises 3 machine options: GSE 300, GSE 500, and the GSE 700. For the GSE 300 granulator, different rotor size options are available, in widths ranging from 300mm to 1400mm, and diameters of 300mm to 700mm. Machine benefits include: -Knives are adjusted outside of the machine -Mobile Compact design -Different rotor types available -Easy accessibility -Strong tangential infeed

Zerma - Heavy Duty Granulator

The GSH series of heavy duty granulators are built to suit the ever-changing demands of modern recycling operations. Comprising 6 unique machines, this series of sturdy granulators can be adapted to process a wide variety of materials, for use in almost any application. With a variety of sizes available, these machines span from 350mm to 1100m in diameter, and 500mm to 2400mm in width, whilst all are engineered to deliver consistently high quality results with minimal downtime for service and maintenance.
