HydroResearch - Dam Breach Alarm System

HydroResearch offers a dam breach alarm system with fibre optics. The optic cable must be installed in such way that the cable breaks when a dam breach occurs. No electronic needs to be installed inside the dam making the system robust against lightning strikes. Such a system was installed and taken into operation in one of the highest dams in Norway in 2015.
