iDEC - Model SBR -Decanting System for Wastewater Treatment
The iDEC SBR Decanting System is designed to enhance the Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process, offering reliable decanting for wastewater treatment facilities. It incorporates advanced technologies that ensure improved effluent discharge quality by maintaining a constant inflow velocity through its collector head, which reduces turbulence and prevents the suction of settled sludge. Built with high-quality stainless steel, the system provides robust and durable service, minimizing maintenance needs and operational costs. Ideal for both municipal and industrial uses, it adapts well to fluctuating influent conditions and integrates easily with SCADA systems for streamlined monitoring and management. Additional features include automated decanting, a non-clogging design, and adjustable decanting height, ensuring optimal flexibility and process control while supporting energy-efficient operations.
The collector head of the iDEC® system ensures a constant inflow velocity through each opening along its length, reducing local inflow velocities and turbulence within the tank. This precise control prevents the suction of settled sludge from the sludge bed, ensuring a consistent discharge of clear water. Constructed entirely from high-quality stainless steel, the iDEC® SBR Decanting System promises durability and a long service life, making it a reliable and efficient solution for modern wastewater treatment. Here’s how it works:
Influent Filling
Raw wastewater enters the SBR tank, filling it to a predetermined level. The influent is typically mixed with activated sludge from previous cycles.
React Phase
The mixed liquor undergoes biological treatment. Aeration and mixing promote microbial activity, reducing organic matter and nutrients.
Settling Phase
Aeration and mixing are stopped, allowing the solids to settle. The clear supernatant forms above the sludge layer.
Decanting Phase
The iDEC system initiates decanting. The decanter moves to the surface, carefully removing the clear supernatant without disturbing the settled sludge.
Sludge Wasting
Excess sludge is removed from the tank to maintain the desired biomass concentration.
Idle Phase
The tank remains idle, awaiting the start of the next cycle. This phase can also include a resting period for biological recovery.
Automated Decanting Process
Improved process performance and reduced chemical usage.
Non-Clogging Design
Ensures reliable performance and reduces maintenance requirements.
Precision Control
Accurate decanting ensures high-quality effluent and optimal process control.
Adjustable Decanting Height
Allows flexibility to accommodate varying sludge levels and operating conditions.
Durable Construction
Long-lasting performance with minimal wear and tear.
Integration with SCADA Systems
Enables seamless monitoring and control, enhancing overall system management.
Energy Efficient Operation
Lower energy consumption reduces operational costs and environmental impact.
