Waste transfer stations for solid urban waste (SUW) have as main objective to improve the transport efficiency of solid waste generated on municipalities that are located far away from the waste treatment plants. Waste transfer stations optimize the collection and transport operation in different ways. Waste collector trucks unload the solid urban waste (suw) in these plants and then they continue with its waste collection operation, meanwhile the material goes inside special waste containers that once filled are taken by other waste collection trucks directly to the landfill or to the waste processing plant.
