IMR - Model APM421 -Automatic Polishing Machine
The Automatic Polishing Machine APM421 is a state of the art technology for polishing and buffing of a wide variety of metal product. The frame consist of an electro welded structure, composed of a platform and two tables each of which supporting 2 trays with one or more jigs on each tray. The machine is equipped with an enclosure and a dust-collection system. The platform has 4 independent adjustable support and floor anchoring flange.
Each table has a motor allowing each tray a 360 degree rotation around the vertical axes. The tray will stop automatically at the loading and unloading station.
The polishing wheel is composed of 12 brushes, assembled with spacers. The system allows to reach maximum flexibility for polishing and buffing wide variety of items, including very intricate shapes.
The machine has 4 spinning trays, 2 on each table with an alternated movement. While one sliding table is at the operator position to perform the loading/unloading operations the other table is under the polishing or buffing wheel. It is possible to programme the rotation of each tray separately (clockwise and counterclockwise).
Standard Machine are supplied with state of the art PLC made by Siemens.
Each tray could hold 1 or more item. The jigs are driven pneumatically.
The following programs could be changed from the operator panel:
- Compound and or the abrasive paste dosage;
- Polishing wheel pressure onto the items;
- Cycle time required and alternate movement under the polishing wheel
- Wheel diameter min= 300mm / max=600mm
- Length 620mm
- Speed 0-970 rpm
- Automatic compensation of polishing wheel pressure
