TWT-DI - Ion Exchange Demineralizators Plant
They are automatic equipments, are manufactured in completely assembled skids, ready for the installation.
The Demineralization plant TWT–DI Units are automatic equipments, they are the result of the TWT long experience on the field of process fluid demineralization, circulation waters and washing solutions for the chemical, galvanic and surface treatment industry.
The plants are manufactured in completely assembled skids, ready for the installation, perfect for operating in continuous pass-trough or recirculation. In that case, the use of the demineralization skids allows a steady production of washing water with high quality and, therefore, with a reduction of the water consumption and an increase of both esthetical and surface treatment process characteristics.
The demineralization process happens thanks to the use of ion exchange resins with monospherical granulometry and high exchange capacity and with excellent resistance to chemical agents and fouling phenomena.
TWT delivers plants with integrated management system and instrumentation for the quality control of the produced water or manufactures equipments custom-designed according to the specific requirements of the process.

The TWT equipments are provided with pre-processing station constituted by a mechanical filtration and, if necessary, by an adsorption filter-column of granular activated carbon (GAC) of high efficiency, which is able to remove organic compounds, surfactants and to reduce the concentration of chemical species potentially dangerous for the ion exchange resins.
The TWT-DI plants are available in standard models from 100 up to 1000 liters of resins, installed with filtration columns of RFB and antacid internal PE covering, with operating water flow rate from 1 up to 30 m3/h. Moreover, they don’t need pumps for the dosing of chemical reagents thanks to high efficiency jets included in the automatic valves.
