JDV - Spiral Press
Dewatering of solids material processed during treatment plant operations is critical to the overall operating costs of the facility. The JDV Compactor product line offers two reliable and proven designs to dewater material with product designs focused on helping operators and maintenance personal in Municipal and Industrial treatment facilities keep initial capital costs and ongoing operating costs down.
The JDV Spiral Press combines dewatering, compacting and conveying operations in a single, compact product for wastewater screenings and miscellaneous debris and material processed in paper mills, food processing plants and rendering facilities.
A drainage zone at the feed end of the JDV Spiral Press drains free water as solids are conveyed through the system. The compaction zone forms the material into a plug that is squeezed against an adjustable pressure spring-loaded door, which further dewaters and compresses the material against a wedge wire "cage".The resultant liquids are drained off to return into plant flow. The end product of plugged solids is periodically expelled into a bagging system or container.
- Shaftless Screw - No Shaft or Hanger or Tail Bearings to Resist Material Transport
- Normal 80% Volume Reduction
- Normal 40%-50% Plug Solids Concentration
- Intermittent Wash Waster in Compaction Zone
- Drainage Deck for Water/Moisture Runoff
- Increased Fill Rate, Lower Initial Capital Investment
- Reduced Operating Costs, Lower Total Cost of Ownership
- Reduced Odors and Maintenance, Self-Cleaning and Increased Operational Efficiency
- Lower Overall Weight/Water Composition of Conveyed Material at Compaction Zone and Discharge Point(s)
