Sea Marconi - Model SM-TCPs -Kit for On-Site Screening of PCB in Oil
The SM-TCPs kit (Sea Marconi Total Chlorine and PCB screening) allows one to manage the life cycle of all electrical equipment filled with oil containing PCBs and their related control, inventory, decontamination and/or disposal tasks,
in accordance with:
- the European Council Directives (96/59/EC – Best Available Techniques, 96/61/EC – Best Environmental Practices 2001/68/EC), with
- the Stockholm Convention on POPs
- and other standards (IEC 60422 Ed.4-2013, CENELEC CLC/TR 50503 in February 2010, CIGRE 413 in April 2010).
The SM-TCPs kit allows you to determine PCB contamination of mineral insulating oils on site
The SM-TCPs kit (Patented method) can be used for the following reasons:
- environmental, in cases where there is no sign of PCB oil contamination in transformers and other electrical equipment (or in tanks)
- regulations, to verify compliance with the legislative limits
- functional, to evaluate, prevent or mitigate the risk of contamination during operations such as changing the oil, topping, depolarization, or maintenance work performed throughout the equipment’s life cycle.
The SM-TCPs kit can also be used on site since it does not require standard laboratory services.The test can also be done by normal staff members, thanks to the illustrated manual, tutorials and videos as well as Sea Marconi’s training and assistance service.
