Koncept - Underground Waste Systems
The Koncept it is the upmost definition of the Sotkon concept presenting a simple design supported in five main components: a concrete bunker, a plastic container, a pedestrian platform, an intake bin and a safety platform being this last on an optional component. It uses a pedestrian platform that opens by means of two industrial gas cylinders which makes it very easy to open. Inside the concrete bunker it is placed a polyethylene container with close bottom (for rear loading) or open bottom (for top loading) with a capacity up to 5m³ . The product is ready to be adapted to a range of hooking systems to match the cranes on the existing collection vehicles. The system is completed with an attractive intake column and a safety platform to meet European standards.
The concrete bunker is unitary, enabling it to be placed on its own or in groups with various configurations. The materials composition used in its manufacture prevent water infiltration and can be installed in higher phreatic level grounds.
The polyethylene containers were designed to provide exceptional mechanical resistance. The body has no metal parts in contact with the waste and the metal components used for handling of the container are made of hot-dip galvanized steel. We offer wide range of capacities from 450L up to 5m³ ready for rear loading (closed bottom) or top loading (top loading) collection.
Sotkon developed a wide range of containers exceptionally resistant and easily adaptable to any existing rear and top loading collection vehicles:
- a closed bottom container with a frontal comb (450L and 1m³ capacities) and a wing and a pin-shaped arm (1m³ and 3m³ capacities) for rear loading refuse collectors with EN840-2 bin lifter arms complemented with a light crane on top (single hook);
- an open bottom container (3m³ or 5m³ capacities) for top loading trucks prepared for all the hooking systems available.
The pedestrian platform is made of laminated steel plate, duly treated against corrosion in harsh conditions. The pedestrian platform unlocks with a special key. The opening and closing are undertaken by two gas springs (manual) or using an 24V electrical cylinder (fully automated). The design of the cover allows full integration with the paved surface that surrounds it.
When the container is removed from the concrete bunker for dumping, a safety platform automatically rises, covering the opening completely. It is totally reliable and stable and can bear a load of 500 kg applied to any part of its surface. Certified according to the EN13071-2 European standards.
Characterized by their simplicity and functionality, Sotkon intake bins feature a careful and attractive design, being considered urban furniture. Produced in stainless steel in order to preserve the outer appearance and to be resistant in harsh environments, the intake columns by Sotkon are designed taking into account ergonomics, ease of use, hygiene and safety.
The SOTKIS Intelligent Management Systems is Sotkon’s vision to boost your collection operation. SOTKIS Level is a complementary solution to manage container filling level and to optimise collection routes. SOTKIS Access adjusts user taxation based on depositions and allows the implement of the PAYT concept.
A 24v electric cylinder allows automatic pedestrian platform opening, 70 or 180 liter bottoms and a cover in the container can be added.
