The bellows element design includes attachment to the ID of schedule standard pipe to provide the minimum effective area and resulting pressure thrust. The area and force reductions may be more than 25% of a traditional OD mounted or externally pressurized designs. Three-ply, laminated, construction results in optimum cycle life and low spring constant for the design conditions. A stainless-steel flow liner is standard with negligible reduction of flow area and resulting flow interference and pressure drop.
