Kato-Katz - Lightweight and Portable Box
Easy to use field-based test kit for the Kato-Katz Technique in a lightweight and portable box. Each kit includes sufficient materials to conduct 500 tests per box according to the current WHO standard of fecal sample sizes of 41.7mg per test.

Each Kit Includes 500 pieces each of:
- Applicator sticks
- Nylon screens
- Templates (calibrated to 41.7mg)
- Hydrophilic cellophane strips.
Additional items needed but not included are microscope slides, flat-bottomed sample jar, forceps, absorbent tissue paper, newspaper or similar for sample prep surface, and Glycerol-Malachite Green or Methylene Blue solution.

Kato Katz Kit:
- Fecal smear kit designed for efficient means of diagnosing intestinal Schistosomiasis and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis (STH).
- Principle: People infected with STH or intestinal Schistosomiasis pass the eggs of the worms through their feces. By examining a stool sample under a microscope it is possible to count the number and the type of eggs that are present. (WHO, 2008)
