Liquidtool ExtenderCoolant Sump Level Measurement and Control System

SHARE

The Liquidtool Extender is an integral component of the Liquidtool AutoPilot solutions, designed for precise and automatic monitoring of coolant sump levels. It functions by collecting real-time fill level data through a combination of differential pressure and ultrasonic sensors, effectively measuring even challenging conditions such as foam presence. This data feeds into the Liquidtool Manager for immediate analysis. The system is enhanced by its interplay with the Liquidtool Sensor 01 and SmartFiller, ensuring accurate top-up of the coolant, preventing overflow, and maintaining optimal concentration. Notably, the Extender incorporates plug-and-play installation, magnetic mounting, and individualized valve controls for precise top-up across multiple sumps. Its design focuses on operational efficiency with features like a submerged base element carrying intake filters and differential pressure tubes, making it suitable for diverse tank configurations. The Extender operates within a wide temperature range and includes necessary hoses, sensors, and power supplies, adhering to IP44 enclosure standards.

The Liquidtool Extender is part of the Liquidtool AutoPilot solutions. It regularly and automatically measures the level of coolant in the sump. The measured data is then sent to the Liquidtool Manager, which will be analyzed in real-time.

The Extender is to be combined with the Liquidtool Sensor 01. Besides its measuring function, the Extender is connected to the Liquidtool SmartFiller and is thus responsible for the correct top up of the coolant sump.

Installation

Installation is quick and easy.

If the Sensor 01 is already mounted into the Extender, all you have to do is attach the filter and level sensors and then connect the Extender to the SmartFiller.

If the Sensor 01 is not yet mounted into the Extender, this is an easy process, needing only a couple of steps. In the video, you can see how you can do this yourself.

Redundant level measurement

Even foam is measured

The Extender measures the filling level of the coolant sump in two ways: Differential pressure and ultrasonic. This multipurpose system can detect foaming and takes fill level into consideration, so no overflow is possible.

1 valve per sump

Individual top up rate

When multiple sumps are connected, it is important to top up the correct one.

To ensure that, every Extender has a separate valve. The valve opens only when the respective sump needs to be filled.

Therefore, we can ensure, that only the proper concentration and amount will be topped up in the respective sump.

Submerged base element, filter & hoses

All-in-one

The magnetic base element is the only thing you must put into your coolant tank. Preferably, it is attached to the bottom of the sump, but for flat tanks, it’s also possible to attach it to a side wall. Just make sure the base element is entirely submerged.

This base element contains the intake filter, outlet hose and the differential pressure tube. On the other end, the three hoses will be attached to the Extender.
