LK High-Grade Steel Separators
For the separation and recycling of light liquids, in particular of gasolines, mineral oil components as well as of oils and fats of vegetable and animal origin. Oils and other light liquids represent an enormous hazard potential for waters. Light liquids in the sense of the DIN 1999 are liquids of smaller density than water, which are not or only a little soluble in water and are unsaponify, like gasolines, diesel and fuel oils, filter oils, as well as other oils of mineral origin. No light liquids in the sense for this standard are emulsions, as well as fats and oils of vegetable or animal origin. On the other hand however light liquids offer the advantage due to their specific physical characteristics that they can be separated contrary to other materials with mechanical separation systems from the water.
In the LK high-grade steel separator SYSTEM H there are inserted particularly arranged weirs, dipping walls and flowreducing chambers, in order to increase the efficiency. Thus a very small size is reached. The patented LK high-grade steel separator for light liquids "SYSTEM H" is certified and examined according to DIN 1999, examined of the LGA Bavaria. It shows a new way for the separation of organic hydrocarbons and oils from water.
The purely physical separation principle upon the continuous flow of water and separation of oil is the outstanding feature of this new separator system upon the patented doubly effective separation of light liquids.
All liquids which indicate a clear phase separation in the water and are swimming on water surface can be separated.
The LK high-grade steel separator patented after the "SYSTEM H" possesses a high efficiency and a cost-saving impact, which are due particularly to the new integrated discharge for light liquids. The light liquid layer is kept very small in the separator.
With the continuous operation only so much oil is accumulated, until a maximum oil layer thickness is reached, in additionally oil is continuously separated, so that the whole volume is usable for the separating procedure and a continuously good efficiency is obtained.
