MuellerModel MAF -Machinery Intake Air Filter

SHARE

The Mueller Model MAF Intake Air Filter for rotating machinery effectively filters intake air for centrifugal and axial compressors, rotary positive, vane axial and centrifugal blowers and reciprocating engines and compressors. Because it holds a variety of 24"x 24" filter and prefilter combinations, the MAF enables ideal filter selection to accommodate a wide range of efficiency requirements and airflow conditions (smooth or pulsating). The MAF ships fully assembled ready for installation.

welded construction. Equal attention is given to the smaller components that so often cause maintenance issues, like hinges and latches. The housing is a formed angle and plate design with all external seal welds. Weather hoods are formed from a single sheet with angle reinforcing and include rain guttering. The weather hood door is hinged and latched to the housing structure, freeing maintenance personnel from the dangerous task of lifting that cumbersome component. The hinge is a bar and angle device with stainless steel pin and nylon insert. Both hinge and latch are seal welded to the housing structure. All surfaces internally and externally are mechanically cleaned and red oxide prime coated.

The filter holding frame is corrosion resistant 16-gauge galvanized steel, supplied with appropriate retaining clips and gasket to maintain a positive pressure seal between frame and filter element. The filter frames are individually bolted to filter house side panels and sealed with a silicone sealer to prevent bypassing. In short, the MAF is built to last.
