MacLean Highline - Millennium Line Transformer Pads
MacLean Highline is proud to introduce a new line of 15`, 24` and 32` transformer pads. Our innovative, patented, design results in a product that is extremely strong and durable, yet lightweight. These products are manufactured at our ISO9000 certified plant using compression molding tools and a specially formulated SMC (sheet molding compound). This process assures consistent product quality as well as other benefits such as:
- UV protection throughout the entire product, versus surface only protection of a spray up fiberglass box
- Superior side wall strength which helps reduce sidewall deflection
- Up to a 40% weight reduction from traditional box pads
- Easy installation
- Fire retardant
- Rapid production - which yields shorter lead-times
Through our innovative manufacturing technique, Highline Products can now offer its compression molded product line with an expanded number of top openings including openings customized to your needs. Thus, Highline compression molded products are now available to meet a wider range of customer needs.
Durability Over the Long Haul
Northeast Underground Guidelines (NEUG) call for box pads with a minimum safety factor of 2x for the normal life span of a transformer—30 years. Recent testing of 30-year old Highline box pads, returned from the field, revealed they still carried loads up to 7,000 pounds while complying with deflection criteria of NEUG. The New Millennium Line is an extension of this history of quality, while pricing is in line with the current needs of our customers.
