Schonstedt - Model MAC51-B -Magnetic & Cable Locator

Consisting of a transmitter and a dual-function receiver, the unique MAC-51B is a very versatile, efficient and easy-to-use locator. When used as a magnetic locator, only the receiver is required, which emits audible signals when positioned directly over the target. When in the cable locator mode, the transmitter is used in conjunction with the receiver to identify cables through inductive and conductive modes. It is so sensitive that 4` diameter cast-iron pipes can be located at depths up to 8`, and so accurate that nails covered with 8` of asphalt can be located. Accessories supplied include a headphone jack, spare battery holder and conductive cable assembly with ground stake all in a durable custom case.
