Manhole odour filter

SHARE
A manhole Odour Filter is a device used to purify the air escaping from the sewage system through manholes. The filter is equipped with an activated carbon bed, which is responsible for purifying the air discharged from the well. The device is a passive filter - it does not require a power supply. Air flow is gravity-driven, due to the pressure difference inside and outside the chamber, or by pushing air out through sewage flowing into the system, which displaces air from the sewers and chambers.

High odour removal - targets hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), mercaptans and general VOCs with an efficiency exceeding 99%.

High tightness - the manhole filter has a seal that ensures that all air flows through the filter bed.

Easy and quick assembly - the device is adapted to typical dimension of manholes (600 mm).

Places of application

Manhole Odour Filters are an effective solution used to remove air pollutants from sewage, including emissions of hazardous hydrogen sulfide. Thanks to the use of filters, the air escaping from the chambers to the outside is free from toxic and harmful substances.
Facilities where Manhole anti-odor filters are most commonly used include:

  • inspection chambers
  • surge wells
  • wastewater treatment plants
