Passive chimney filter

A passive chimney filter is a device used to remove odors in facilities that are part of the sanitary sewage infrastructure. Chimney filters are most often used in sewage pumping stations, as the frequently changing sewage levels in the pumping station pits cause air to escape into the atmosphere, which can cause unpleasant odors in the surrounding area. The filter is equipped with an activated carbon cartridge through which air flows and is purified. The device is a passive filter, meaning it does not have an electric fan. Air flow is forced by gravity – either through the pressure difference inside and outside the pit or by sewage flowing into the facility, displacing air from the sewers, pumping stations, or pits.

Activated Carbon for Odor Control

Activated carbon is a filter medium with a very large surface area and excellent adsorption properties. It is used to purify the air of odorous substances and undesirable gases. Thanks to its porous structure, activated carbon effectively binds molecules of volatile organic compounds, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and many other substances that cause unpleasant odors. It is used in our Odor Control Systems , Carbon Filters, Manhole Anti-Odour Filters , and Passive Chimney Filters , among others .

Organic Biomass Filter Bed for Biological Air Purification

Biomass is a natural, organic material of plant origin used as an ecological filter bed in biological air purification processes. Biomass forms the basis of biofilters , where microorganisms inhabiting a specially prepared bed decompose odorous and harmful substances. This makes biomass an effective and environmentally friendly material. The biomass includes appropriate fractions of shredded tree stumps, tree bark, coarser fractions of tree chips and other components that positively influence the efficiency of purification.

Manhole odour filter

A manhole Odour Filter is a device used to purify the air escaping from the sewage system through manholes. The filter is equipped with an activated carbon bed, which is responsible for purifying the air discharged from the well. The device is a passive filter - it does not require a power supply. Air flow is gravity-driven, due to the pressure difference inside and outside the chamber, or by pushing air out through sewage flowing into the system, which displaces air from the sewers and chambers.

Technicalia - Odorous Substances Control System

The Odor Control System is a custom-designed product, created to effectively neutralize odors occurring in a specific location, facility, and specific business activity. The system is based on proven filtration methods such as activated carbon, volcanic lava, biofilters, and chemical scrubbers. Our team takes full responsibility for the neutralization process. We handle the entire process—from detailed research and analysis of pollution sources, through the development of a tailored design and selection of the most effective technology, to installation, commissioning, system maintenance, and regular service.

Technicalia - Carbon Filters

A carbon filter is a device used to remove pollutants from the air released by various types of equipment and installations: sewage pumping stations, expansion wells, wastewater treatment plants, biogas plants, solid waste sorting plants and landfills, animal farms, and all types of manufacturing plants. A carbon filter is equipped with a carefully selected activated carbon bed through which air flows, thereby purifying it. Airflow is forced by an exhaust fan. Depending on the intended use and the composition of the polluted air, we select the appropriate activated carbon, its mass, airflow, and other important device parameters.

Technicalia - Air Pollution Biofilter Device

A biofilter is a device designed to purify polluted air released from various devices and installations. Its operation is based on airflow through a specially selected biological filter bed, which effectively removes undesirable substances. This flow is forced by an exhaust fan. A key element of biofiltration is the microorganisms responsible for the purification process – their number and condition directly impact air purification efficiency. Biofilters, inoculated with microflora before startup, are ready for immediate operation, ensuring a high level of efficiency in eliminating unpleasant odors and harmful chemical compounds. Biofilters may include only a biological air purification stage, or they may be supplemented with additional stages, such as chemical precipitation in a water scrubber prior to biofiltration and/or adsorption on activated carbon after the biofiltration process.

Industrial Gas Scrubber

A scrubber is a device used to purify air polluted with gases and dust, used in numerous industries and municipal services. It is used in wastewater treatment plants, industrial plants, biogas plants, waste sorting plants, and landfills, as well as in installations with high concentrations of odorous substances such as hydrogen sulfide or ammonia. A scrubber is a reactor in which unwanted pollutants contained in the gas phase are absorbed by the liquid phase through a chemical reaction. The polluted air flows through a column filled with a bed sprayed with an aqueous solution of a specially selected substance, enabling effective removal of harmful compounds and odor neutralization. Scrubbers are selective devices, meaning that only one or more chemical compounds with similar reactivity characteristics are retained within the volume of a single scrubber column.
