SISMAT - Mechanical Thickeners

Mechanical Thickeners, solids content below required limits in the sludge to be dewatered, increase the hydraulic flowrate and might reduce the efficiency of the dewatering process in some applications. In such cases, the use of thickening equipment is recommended prior to dewatering, to achieve optimum dewatering efficiency. The primary types of equipment used for this purpose are belt and drum type thickeners.
