Water Treatment Screens
SISMAT - Manual Water Screens
These are the most basic type of screens, used for coarse screening purposes and mostly in by-pass channels, yet their application is decreasing day by day. They consist of fixed screen bars, rake and waste container.
SISMAT - Internally Fed Rotary Sieves
Internally Fed Rotary Sieves that are manufactured for very fine screening of settleable solids come under the fine screens group. They consist of a rotary sieve made of perforated sheet-iron or wire wire, a bedding system, water distribution weir and water blowing system. It presents a completely closed structure, thus totally preventing such problems as smell or splashing.
SISMAT - Externally Fed Rotary Sieves
Externally Fed Rotary Sieves are manufactured with the aim of fine screening of floating solids and they can be safely utilised in domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants as well as the treatment of process waters from various industries such as leather, food processing, paint, textile, pulp and paper, sugar.
SISMAT - Static Sieve
Static Sieves are self-cleaning fine screens which can produce a filtration level screening quality, operating by gravity without the need for actuating equipment. This screen type is used especially in the treatment plants of such industries as textile, pulp and paper, food processing and alcohol production.
SISMAT - Rotating Disc Water Screen
Rotating Disc Screens are self-cleaning fine screens with an opening size of 50-200 microns. They are the ideal screen type to be utilised in the treatment of fibrous wastewaters such as those originating from the textile or pulp and paper industries, as well as in the protection of heat exchangers. They are also used in process water preparation.
SISMAT - Spiral Channel Water Screen
This is a type of fine screen that can be used especially in open channels with narrow width. This type of screen can be utilised in domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, and process water preparation plants for various industries.
SISMAT - Travelling Band Water Screens
This type of screen is utilised for very fine screening following the coarse screen in stream- or sea-water intake structures. It relies on the principle of collecting screenings on sieve modules mounted on a chain and then expelling them through back-washing with pressurised water. In general, the conveyor screen consists of a frame, a chain, sealing plates, washing system, and discharge and screen panels. The sieves are mounted on screen panels. Pressurised water blown out of nozzles located on the inner side of the panel guides the screenings accumulated on the panel sieve into the channel and leads them to the discharge point.
SISMAT - Cable-Operated Grab Water Screens
This is a type of coarse screen utilised in treatment plants with high channel depth and width. Major areas of application include domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and water treatment plants.
SISMAT - Front-Raked Mechanical Water Screens
They are generally utilised in large treatment plants, industrial treatment plants, pumping stations, water intake structures and power plants, especially as coarse screen to screen large impurities such as leaves, grass, jellyfish, seaweeds etc. in the water.
SISMAT - Linear Mechanical Water Screens
These are the type of screen most widely used both as fine and coarse screens in large- and medium-scale treatment plants. They function even in the deepest channels without any limitation for channel height. Major areas of application include domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and water treatment plants. They are also utilised in process water preparation plants in various industries.
