Dimtech - Model Algae Guard -Microbial Growth Prevention Strips for Air Conditioning

The avoidance of microbial burden in such tanks and clogging of the condensate drain network from the formation of agglomerates is achieved by placing the ALGAE GUARD strips. The ALGAE GUARD has the form of elongated blue fabric band. Internally there is a material which slowly releases surfactants and antibacterial substances. The ALGAE GUARD is placed in the condensate drain pans and prevents the growth of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, algae and viruses) and accumulation of deposits. Especially effective against algae that is causing many problems in the drain pipes. The product is certified by the Environmental Protection Agency of the USA (US EPA), specifically for use in air conditioning systems (EPA Reg. No. 59682-1).

The strip placement is done after the drain pan has been cleaned. The life time of strip is three months.
