Carry Stainless Steel Axial-Flow Submersible Pumps come complete with the Franklin Submersible Motor installed inside a stainless steel casing. This motor was “Designed to Live Underwater” because of the following features:

  1. Its windings are completely hermetically sealed in a steel enclosure with both the outer and inner casings of stainless steel. The enclosure is surrounded and cooled by water.
  2. Its rotor, consisting only of laminations and a copper or aluminum cage, runs in water with no ill effect but with the most effective cooling possible, a direct immersion in water.
  3. Its bearings, both radial and thrust, are completely submerged in clean water. They require no other lubrication and therefore have an everlasting source of lubricant water.

These features make the Franklin Submersible Motor highly efficient, while reducing the possibilities of rust and wear on components.
