Model 511 -Electromagnet for Railway Carriage

Type 511 electromagnets can be used for the economical holding of ferromagnetic parts in production and in fixture construction where particularly high holding forces are required. Due to the solid design with a specially designed pole plate, in which the coil chambers are covered with stainless steel inlays, as well as a highly accurate flatness, the electromagnet type 511 is mainly used for straightening uneven outer walls in railway carriage construction. The electromagnet, together with a thick perforated plate on the opposite side, is positioned on the surface to be levelled. The switched-on electromagnet attracts the perforated plate and the sheet to be levelled is pressed "flat". In addition, the sheet metal can be selectively heated from the side of the perforated plate using gas burners and thereby "flame-straightened".

For handling the magnets, several attachment points are fitted around the circumference so that they can be arranged in both portrait and landscape format. The magnet body is made of special steel with high magnetic conductivity. The winding is made of high-temperature resistant winding wire and is installed in the magnet housing completely protected against vibration and moisture.
