Model Class C & D -End Suction Pumps
CASING is of high-grade cast iron with parabolic cross section. Top horizontal discharge makes pump self-venting and avoids vapor locks. Vent and drain connections are located on suction side for easy access. Tapping for discharge gauge & boss for suction gauge are provided. BRONZE CASING WEARING RINGS prevent wear and ensure low cost maintenance. IMPELLER of Bronze is enclosed type, cast in one piece, carefully balanced and has smooth water passages for maximum performance. Hydraulic balance assures minimum load on bearings. CARBON STEEL SHAFT is designed for minimum deflection at the mechanical seal face and minimum vibration at all speeds. Impeller is secured by stainless steel cap screw and lockwasher.
INTERCHANGEABILITY of complete liquid end including casing impeller and bracket between the Darling power frame and standard close coupled "JM" motors of comparable size.
CONVERSION from mechanical seal to stuffing box can be made on job site by substitution of bracket and auxiliary components.
PULL-OUT DESIGN permits removal without disturbing suction and discharge piping.
THREE POINT MOUNTING eliminates pump distoration.
STAINLESS STEEL SHAFT SLEEVE gives corrosion resistance beneath seal bellows.
BEARINGS are heavy duty permalube type, free of maintenance, contamination and condensation.
POWER FRAME is of high grade cast iron and is adaptable to a wide range of liquid ends.
MECHANICAL SEAL, fitted with viton bellow, suitable for 125 PSIG suction pressure or 250F. Temperature. Sealing surface is Posiflushed for heat dissipation and long seal life.
STUFFING BOX (optional) fitted with bronze split gland Everdur swing bolts for easy adjustment and repacking. Pump bracket designed with integral drip pan with NPT outlet for connection to drain eliminates requirement of drip-ledge base.
COUPLING with one piece gear type rubber insert with 4 way flexing action. Absorbs shocks, vibration and misalignment and ensures silent operation.
