Model CMS / CMD -Magnetic Ducts With Vibrating Feeder
Like CMTM, CMS / CMD have a diverse range of action. The main application is to recover / separate the ferrous material from a flow of granular material - such as chips or flakes - in which the process material, before feeding the magnetic drum, is distributed and widened by a vibrating feeder over the entire active width of the magnetic drum to ensure maximum separation efficiency.
The process material falls on the non-magnetic rotating enclosure, the ferromagnetic intrusions are attracted to the magnetic drum and then released into the rear discharge, following the rotation of the non-magnetic enclosure, here they are collected in a container. The intrusion-free process material falls into the front crushing machine.
Ferromagnetic intrusions are attracted to the static magnetic field of the drum and are thus separated from the process material, are retained on the non-magnetic rotating cylinder until they reach the discharge zone outside the magnetic field.
To improve ferromagnetic intrusion recovery and therefore better cleaning of process material, the 2-drums model (CMD) can be used, where inert material leaving the first drum is subjected to a new selection on a second drum.
Depending on the material to be treated and the kind of result you want to achieve, the second magnetic drum can be made with a different magnetic attraction force than the first one. On request, rotational speeds can be controlled with inverters.
